Any creases or lines will work themselves out during the decoupage process. HOWEVER, should you decide to iron these out prior to decoupaging, protect your paper covering it with parchment paper and iron on low dry heat. DO NOT USE STEAM. Rice paper is the best of all types of materials for beginners because of its translucently and durable qualities. It is thin, but durable and easy to apply. On some rice paper fiber's are visible which do not interfere with application.

For best results:

* Coat surface with a pale or white background for best image vibrancy
* Spread a layer of decoupage medium on the surface and then position paper. For larger areas its advisable to work on one section at a time.
* Once paper is positioned, add another layer of adhesive on top of image. Allow top layer to dry completely before applying another layer.
* Avoid handling your rice paper as much as possible while wet.
